It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Dr Harry Hoffman AM OAM z”l. Harry and his wife Sylvia have been long-time leaders in providing support for the Jewish community here in Perth and in Israel.
Their philanthropy has directly impacted the lives of Jews around the world, especially through funding of education institutions and also their assistance to settle Jewish refugees into Israel.
Harry was the President of UIA Western Australia, a Life Governor and a recipient of the Yakir Keren Hayesod Award which is an international honour in recognition of leaders of UIA who have distinguished themselves by their contribution towards promoting the aims and goals of Keren Hayesod-UIA.
Harry will be missed by the Western Australian UIA family, but his legacy will live on and continue to be an inspiration for all of us. On behalf of UIA, we offer our condolences to Sylvia, Susan and Josh and we wish them a long life.
